Bangladesh :
The government of Bangladesh has decided to plant 100 million trees to increase the effectiveness of the “natural fence” against frequent floods and cyclones.

Even if they plant all 100 million trees today, it’ll take at least two years for the roots to alleviate the effects of flooding, and at least five years for the trees to be tall and sturdy enough to counter the strong winds of typhoons. But this is dfinitely a good move and a good start.

I agree... It is a step in the right direction but many more lives shall be lost before the trees could provide some protection. And it is futile to blame the government completely as in such situation s it is difficult for anyone to control a cyclone... They must all be given training in at least the fundamentals of disaster management
