A KLM flight headed for Hyderabad in India’s south skipped its destination and flew across India because the pilot was unaware the city had a brand-new airport.

Delhi,
India
It is a real drama in mid air. Either parting is indulging in buck passing. What I feel is that KLM crew just didn’t accept Hyderabad’a airport to acquire a swanky and state-of-the-art look. But let me tell world India has arrived.

Now lets not be so harsh on the hyderabad airport authority, I’m sure they must have been swept away with all the festivities of the inauguration.

Silly excuse by the pilot and management of KLM

This is extremely shocking. Shouldnt all pilots flying into certain cities, countries know details and location of the airports. Of coz, the decision to open the new Hyd airport was not conclusive, and was a yes-no situation. However, this is no excuse for the related authorities to not be aware of updates. If all other flights could land safely into the new airport, why not KLM. Where is the sense of professionalism?
